Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

- SCP liquor is not considered to have auto flammable properties based on the results of the preliminary flammability test (4.13) and practical experience in handling of SCP liquor.
- Data waiving is based on column 2 in Annex VII (7.12) of the REACH regulation stating that testing of auto flammability is not required for liquids that do not ignite in air, e.g. have no flash point at <200oC.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

SCP liquor is not considered to have auto flammable properties based on the results of the preliminary flammability test (4.13) and practical experience in handling of SCP liquor.

The test substance ignited in the preliminary flammability test (4.13) and after removing the flame extinguished within a few seconds. The test substance did not burn over a length of 200 mm within 4 minutes. Therefore the full test programme (main test) was not carried out and SCP liquor is not classified as highly flammable, and is not considered to have auto flammable properties.
