Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Three reliable short term studies with invertebrates are available for C12 -18AS Na (CAS 68955-19-1). A key GLP study by Marshall (1993) was performed according to OECD 202 guideline. A static test was performed with six different concentrations in the range 0-10 mg a.i./L with Daphnia magna. The test resulted in the 48-h EC50 value of 2.8 mg a.i./L (nominal concentrations in agreement with the measured ones). In a supporting GLP study (Scholz 1997) Daphnia magna was exposed to six different concentrations of C12-18AS Na (CAS 68955-19-1) in the range 1 -100 mg/L. A static system according to the EG Method C2 was performed. The 48-h EC50 value was 15 mg a.i./L (nominal concentrations in agreement with the measured ones). Finally, the third non-GLP supporting study by Kamp (1992) was performed according to DIN 38412 (11) test method. Daphnia magna was exposed in a static system to six concentrations of the test substance in the range 0-128 mg/L. The 48-h EC50 value was 12 mg/L (nominal).
