Additional information

In the atmospheric compartment, hydrazine is rapidly degraded under the presence of hydroxyl radicals. Assuming an OH-concentration of 500,000 molecules/cm³, an atmospheric half-life of 6.3 h was derived.

According to the Guidance document R.11 (ECHA, 2008) atmospheric half-lifes smaller than 2 days indicate a limited potential for a long range atmospheric transport.

A test in 2 different surface waters yielded a degradation with half-lifes between 2.6 and 24 hours at 20°C.
