Due to the fact that ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate polymerize immediately through minimal moister in air, water the potential risk of poisoning is low. Ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate act as instant glue. Therefore after seconds a polymer has to be assessed, which cannot be resorbed dismally or by inhalation. Acute toxicity was not reported in animal studies as well as in human case reports. Therefore it can be concluded that Ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate is not acute toxic.
