Additional information

The diphenyl ether substance is slightly soluble in water (18 mg/L), has a low vapor pressure (2.7 Pa at 20 °C), and moderate log Kow (4.21). The substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation in aquatic organisms (fish BCF < 600), and a moderate potential to volatilize from water or soil to the atmosphere. The substance is hydrolytically stable in water and readily biodegradable. Upon release to the atmosphere the substance will react with hydroxyl radicals with a predicted half-life of 1.7 days. Colectively, these properties indicate the substance to be not persistent in the environment, and to have low potential for long-range transport in the atmosphere.
