Mean concentration of samples 1 and 3:  4.22 x 10-2 g/l at 20.0 ± 0.5ºC

Range of all samples:                                  4.68 x 10-3 to 4.23 x 10-2 g/l

*1.00 mg/l is the LOQ of the instrument.

†Excluded from the mean calculation and range, as it appears that the sample may not have been cleaned up sufficiently, compared to samples 1 and 3, hence the high result.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results: slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)

A water solubility value of 4.22 x 10-2 g/L at 20 ± 0.5°C was determined in a reliable study conducted according to OECD 105, and in compliance with GLP.

Description of key information

Water solubility: 4.22 x 10-2 g/L at 20°C, pH 4 - 4.1 (OECD 105).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.042 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Water solubility has been determined in a GLP study for the test substance using a method in accordance to OECD 105. DTO has a water solubility of 4.22 x 10-2g/L at 20°C, pH 4 - 4.1. The data is most recent, considered reliable and has been selected as key study. The result sums the contribution of all constituents.

In other supporting studies, a water solubility of 9 mg/L is also reported for the test substance in its entirety as a complex substance using the same method as stated above. The water solubility of samples of DTO with resin acid contents of 10 and 40% has been determined in accordance with OECD 105, respective values of 8.4 mg/L and 8.7 mg/L have been determined for the samples at 20°C.

The test substance is considered slightly soluble.
