Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Data waiving in accordance with REACH Annex X, 9.5, Column 2

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Data waiving in accordance with REACH Annex X, 9.5, Column 2: No long-term sediment toxicity testing is proposed, because the there is no need to investigate further the effects of the substance and/or relevant degradation products on sediment organisms. The substance is not classified according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, and therefore no exposure assessment is performed as part of the chemical safety assessment laid down in REACH Article 14(4). There is no need for further investigation and toxicity testing is not proposed by the registrant. According to the ITS of REACH guidance R.7b, no testing is required if the log Kow < 3. Furthermore, the substance is readily biodegradable and not assumed to be highly adsorptive to sediment (log Kow < 3, no other indications of high adsorption).
