Description of key information

In absence of experimental data a bioconcentration factor has been estimated by using the BCFBAF module of the US Episuite (v.4.10) and the determined log Pow (1.38) value for Benzoguanamine.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
1.15 L/kg ww

Additional information

The estimated BCF gives clear indication that a potential for bioaccumulation of Benzoguanamine is highly unlikely. The calculation is based on an accepted methodology and a reliable log Pow value (log Pow 1.38).

In accordance with the specific rules for adaptation in column 2 of endpoint 9.3.2 of the REACH regulation testing of Bioaccumulation in aquatic species, preferable fish has not been proposed.
