Acute tests on aquatic invertebrates, fish and activated sludge were performed on analogous substances to examine the aquatic toxicity. The L(E)C 50 values for fish, daphnia and activated sludge were clearly above the water solubility in the respective studies.

With high probability acutely not harmful to fish. No toxic effects occur within the range of water solubility.

Toxicity to microorganisms:


The inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced in appropriate low concentrations.


 


The toxicity to aquatic algae and invertebrates was tested with the nano form of the substance. According to available guidance documents for nanomaterials the test substance was tested in a stable dispersion. Every effort was taken to reach the maximum dispersion stability over the duration of the test.
