Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Two studies are available for this endpoint, both performed under conditions equivalent to OECD 203. The first study is with acetylacetonate sufficiently described and with analytical monitoring, where the 96 h LC50 of acetylacetone to Pimephales promelas is 104 mg/L. The second study is with calcium acetylacetonate where there were precipitates formed and the solutions were turbid. Tested concentrations were not low enough to be able to determine the 96h EC50.

Based on the formation of precipitates and the turbid solution in the second study, the first study with acetylacetone is chosen as the key study. The 96 h LC50 of acetylacetone to Pimephales promelas of 104 mg/L is adjusted to 247.52 mg/L for calcium acetylacetonate (with molecular weight correction)
