Description of key information

No study has been performed on manganese bis(dihydrogen phosphate)for the endpoint 'oxidising properties'. An adaptation from the standard testing regime is justified on the following basis:
According to the guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a section 7.1.13, the first step of the screening procedure is to examine the chemical structure and check for the presence of groups associated with oxidising properties. If the substance does not contain any groups associated with oxidising properties then a negative result is likely. An expert review of the substance itself and available data, in accordance with method A.17 of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 448/2008, concludes that manganese bis(dihydrogen phosphate) does not have any functional groups that would imply oxidising properties. Therefore, further testing for oxidising properties is not scientifically justified.

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (EU CLP), manganese bis(dihydrogen phosphate) is not considered to possess oxidising properties and is therefore not classified as an oxidiser.
