Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
flash point of flammable liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the flash point is only relevant to liquids and low melting point solids
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance only contains volatile organic components with flash-points above 100°C for aqueous solutions
Justification for type of information:
2-phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid is a solid which is only available and marketed in a ca. 50% aqueous solution. The acid itself has a vapour pressure of 8.08e-9 Pa and is thus not volatile. Therefore, neither for the anhydrous solid form nor the aqueous solution (which contains no other volatile compounds than water) a flash point needs to be determined.
