Description of key information

The test substance is considered thermally stable at room temperature, although there are indications for explosion under specific conditions e.g. when exposed to heat or flame.

Additional information

- May be a polymerization hazard; unless inhibited, heat can induce polymerization

- May react with itself blocking relief valves; leading to tank explosion

- Heat or flame may cause explosion

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available data, classification for thermal stability is not warranted according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
