Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The relative density of the high cis (cis/trans 85/15) and of the high trans (cis/trans 10/90) was determinded to be 1.005 and 0.9996 respectively.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.005

Additional information

The relative density of the high cis (cis/trans: 85/15) and of the high trans (cis/trans: 10/90) qualities of the substance were performed at atmospheric

using two different test methods according to OECD TG 109. Very similar relative density were determined:

1.005 on the high cis quality (oscillating densimeter)

1.0024 on the high trans quality (pycnometer method)

We have chosen the worst case value as the key value for chemical safety assessment.
