ADSORPTION / DESORPTION

The US EPA property estimation program KOCWIN V2.00 calculates for the Koc of Monoglyme 2.4 L/kg (Molecular Connectivity Index) or 4.2 L/kg (beased on Log Kow of -0.21 which means that sorption to solid is very low and an adsorption/desorption study is not warrented.

AIR / WATER PARTIONING

AIR/WATER PARTITIONING UNDER EQUILIBRIUM CONDITIONS Monoglyme can be mixed with water in every proportion which means that partitioning between air and water will be very low. The US EPA property estimation program HENRYWIN V.3.2 calculates e.g. for the Henry's law constant 0.1 Pa*m3/mol which corresponds to the unitless air/water partitioning coefficient of 4.3 E-05.

AIR/WATER PARTITIONING UNDER NON-EQUILIBRIUM CONDITIONS (STRIPPING) Monoglyme can be stripped off from aqeous solutions by passing an air stream into the liquid. For quantificatiion of the stripping into 350 ml of an aqeous solution containing Monoglyme at a concentration of 1 g/L air at 10 L/h was passed. After 24 h the Monoglyme concentration in the solution was below LOQ (15 µg/L).
