Description of key information

The substance is readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, Annex IX, Section 9.2.1.3, Column 2, soil simulation testing does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable.

Based on a study similar to OECD TG 301D test (OECD SIDS, 2003) for 3 -aminopropyldimethylamine (CAS 109-55-7) the substance was determined to be readily biodegradable. The result is supported by the ready biodegradability of the structurally similar substance diethylaminopropylamine (CAS 104-78-9; BASF AG, 2005; report no. G0264/053110). Therefore, no soil simulation study will be provided.
