Description of key information

96 h EC50 >12 µg/L, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, measured (Springborn Smithers 2001)
96 h NOEC ≥12 µg/L, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, measured (Springborn Smithers 2001)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A 96-hour ErC50 of >12 µg/L has been determined for the effects of the test substance on growth rate of Selenastrum capricornutum (new name Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata). A NOEC of ≥12 µg/L has been determined in the same test.

The results of a second test (the reliability of which cannot be determined) also showed an absence of toxicity following short-term exposure to a treatment level that was above the solubility of the substance.
