Key result
Sample tested:
other: chemical structure of the test material
Parameter:
other: screening procedure
Remarks on result:
other: negative based on chemical structure

The test material is an organic compound which contains oxygen, bonded only to carbon or hydrogen. Neither fluorine nor chlorine is present. Applying the internationally recognized UN Recommendation criteria, it can be concluded that the test material is incapable of reacting exothermically with a combustible material. Therefore the classification procedure using experimental testing need not be applied.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met

Description of key information

not oxidising  (expert statement based on UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, 2003)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test material does not contain fluorine nor chlorine. The contained oxygen is chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen. The test material has not to be classified as an oxidising substance. It is therefore unlikely to cause or contribute to the combustion of other material during transport, storage or use.
