Description of key information

No simulation tests in water and sediment are available for dipropylene glycol methyl ether.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Dipropylene glycol methyl ether is readily biodegradable in freshwater with a low potential for adsorption to sediment. According to REACH Annex IX requirements, sediment simulation testing shall only be considered for substances with a high potential for adsorption to sediment and need not be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable, hence a simulation test in water and sediment can be waived for dipropylene glycol methyl ether.
