Description of key information

In accordance with Regulation EC 1907/2006 (REACH), Annex IX point 9.1 of column 2, long term toxicity testing shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment indicated the need to investigate further the effects on aquatic organisms. The choice of appropriate tests depends on the results of the chemical safety assessment. The experience gained with acute ecotoxicity tests allows to conclude that fish is not the most sensitive species when exposed to the test material. Therefore for ethical reasons, notifier considers that long-term fish test is not relevant.
