First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, gargle with water and consult a
physician
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water and consult a
physician
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove with cloth and wash with soap and water
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Vomiting should only be induced by a physician. Seek medical
advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, dry chemical, CO2.

Product arising from burning: Expected products are CO2, NO2, I2 and HF.

Protective equipment: Normal fire fighting protection equipment which includes
suitable respiratory equipment to protect from smoke
inhalation, and gloves and masks.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Remove residue with soap and water. Collect waste and burn
or dispose of under controlled conditions as applicable for
halogenated substances in accordance with local regulations.

If possible use an appropriate inductry vacuum cleaner.

Avoid dust generation by moistioning of the spilt substance
or by covering the spilt substance with moistened innert
material.

Wear appropriate protection clothing, wire mesh goggles,
rubber gloves and apron.

Collected substance should be disposed as chemical waste and
be labelled accordingly (Xi, irritant, R41, R51, S26, S39,
S60; see part C).

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands and eyes after handling
and use. Keep away form heat, sparks and flames.

Wear gloves and goggles.

Use dust-proof filling/refilling systems.

If dust is generated, provide good ventillation.

Storage: Store in a cool place, protect from direct sunlight and keep
away from moisture

Use unbreakable containers. Keep containers tightly closed.
Protect containers from falling.

Avoid product residues on containers.
