Additional information

Following O.E.C.D. test guidelines or EU test methods (Flash Point A9) the test substance, 2,3 -epoxypropyl-o-tolyl ether (CAS No. 2210 -79 -9) was assessed for its chemical characteristics, including freezing point, boiling point, vapor pressure, water solubility, partition coefficient, specific gravity, viscosity, adsorption/desorption and flash point. The freezing point was estimated to be less than -69°C and the boiling point was determined to be 259.7°C. The extrapolated vapor pressure of the test substance was determined to be 0.5 14 Pascals at 20°C and 0.822 Pascals at 25°C. The solubility in water was determined to be 0.84 gm/L and the partition coefficient was determined to be 322.125 (Log Pow. of 2.51). The specific gravity of the test substance was determined to be 1.09 at 20 °C and the viscosity was determined to be 9.64 cSt at 20°C and 4.72 cSt at 40°C. The test substance was determined to have a flash point of 123.4 °C.
