Description of key information

The vapor pressure curve of isophorone diisocyanate has been measured with a vapor pressure balance in satisfactory accordance to OECD TG 104 at temperatures between 9.5 °C and 44.1 °C. The Antoine equation obtained by least-squares fit is:
VP [hPa] = 10**(31.84-23124/(T+639.99)
This corresponds to 0.000635 hPa at 20 °C, 0.00117 hPa at 25 °C and 0.0212 hPa at 50 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.063 Pa
at the temperature of:
23 °C

Additional information

The acceptable restrictions of the key study (guideline study) should be noted: Insufficient characterization of test substance (identity, purity), significant scattering of results.

Evidence for the reliability of this study comes from:

- QSAR check with MpBpWin v1.41 from the EPIWIN software suite (v3.11) predicts 0.00115 Torr (0.0015 hPa) at 25 °C, which is in satisfactory agreement.
