Description of key information

Boiling point: ATMP salts undergoes melting with decomposition from about 178°C (451 K) (Tremain 2010)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The requirement to conduct a boiling point study for the substance is waived because the substance is expected to decompose without boiling. This statement is supported by a recent, reliable DSC test which demonstrates that the acid form of ATMP melts with decomposition from about 178°C. Salts would also be expected to undergo thermal decomposition similar to the parent acid, ATMP-H.
