First-aid measures

Eye contact : Irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water, holding the eyelids apart, for at least 10 minutes. Obtain medical

attention.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with soap and water. If symptoms develop, obtain medical attention.

Inhalation:  Remove patient from exposure. Obtain medical attention if ill effects occur.

Ingestion:  Do not induce vomiting. Wash out mouth with water and give 200-300 ml (half a pint) of water to drink. Obtain medical attention if ill

effects occur.

Further Medical Treatment:  Symptomatic treatment and supportive therapy as indicated.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing Media:  Water fog, alcohol foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical.

Unsuitable Extinguishing Media:  None known

Special fire-fighting protective equipment:  A self contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing must be worn in fire conditions.

Fire and explosion hazards:  Combustible but not readily ignited.

Combustion products:  Thermal decomposition will evolve irritant vapours.

Accidental release measures

Environmental precautions:  Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.

Methods for cleaning up:  Contain spillages with sand, earth or any suitable adsorbent material. Transfer to a container for disposal.

Wash the spillage area clean with water and detergent.

Other information:  Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into watercourses must be alerted to the appropriate regulatory body.

Handling and storage

Handling:  Normal precautions should be observed as for handling all chemicals

Prevent skin contact. Prevent eye contact.

Process hazards:  Smouldering can occur upon leakage onto fibrous insulation material.

Storage:  Store in original containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection

No Workplace Exposure Limit Assigned.

Engineering measures:  Provide adequate ventilation.

Eye protection:  Good working practice suggests goggles should be worn.

Skin protection:  Good working practice suggests gloves should be worn.

Respiratory protection:  Respiratory protection is not required if good ventilation is maintained

For professional and industrial use workers should wear a respirator conforming to EN140 with Type A/P2 filter or better [PPE29] for spraying applications.

Other:  Eyewash and safety shower easily accessible to the work area.

Stability and reactivity

Stability:  Stable under normal conditions.

Materials to avoid : Strong oxidising agents.

Conditions to avoid:  None known

Hazardous decomposition products Thermal decomposition will evolve irritant vapours.

Hazardous polymerisation Will not occur

Disposal considerations

Methods of Disposal:  Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or national legislation.

Contaminated packaging:  Empty container retains product residue. Observe all hazard precautions.

Do not distribute, make available, furnish or reuse empty container except for storage and shipment of original product.

Remove all product residue from container before disposal.
