Description of key information

The NOEC for freshwater invertebrates is > 80 µg/L, no effects could be observed in the range of water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the chronic toxicity of erucamide to Daphnia magna was available. This study was carried out according to the OECD Guideline 202:Daphnia sp., Acute Immobilisation Test and Reproduction Test (1984), under GLP conditions. After 21 days of exposure to (Z)-docos-13-enamide no effects on reproduction or growth were observed under the tested conditions, being the NOEC > 80 µg/L. Based on read across to erucamide, long term effects are not expected for oleamide.
