Uptake of MOCA by plants was investigated in two hydroponic experiments, a soil experiment and a foliar experiment. Both the hydroponic experiments and the soil experiment indicated that MBOCA is absorbed by plants but its movement within the plant is limited. The activity absorbed by plant roots generally remained on the root surface. BCF factors of up to 400 L/kg were observed for roots (sorghum), whereas the highest BCF factor for shoots was 1 L/kg (sorghum).
