Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Half-life in surface water: 15 d (based on ready biodegradability); half-life in bulk-sediment: 169 d (based on 10x half-life in aerobic soil at 12 °C)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in freshwater:
15 d
at the temperature of:
12 °C
Half-life in freshwater sediment:
169 d
at the temperature of:
12 °C

Additional information

No simulation tests for degradation rates under environmental conditions are available. Therefore, for the aquatic environment the default value suggested by the REACH Guidance based on ready biodegradability results is used. For aerobic sediments, based on the result of the study on aerobic transformation in soil (see IUCLID Chapter 5.2.3) and in line with the REACH Guidance R16. (2016) A.16 -3.2.2, a DT50 freshwater sediment (aerobic) of 16.9 d at 12 deg. C is assigned (value equal to half-life in soil). Further, for bulk sediment, a 10-times higher half-life is assumed, in accordance with the R.16 guidance.
