Description of key information

Primary fatty amines are derived from natural sources (fatty acids). Their functional group (NH2) is linked to an unbranched, even numbered alkylchain within the range of C8-C22. Depending on the source their C-chain distribution is variable. The functional group of primary fatty amines indicates no instabilities in common organic solvent. Thus, stability in organic solvents is not considered to be critical.
