Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

For the registered substance  is an OECD 211 study availableThe EC10 (21d) reproduction was determined to be 1.69mg/L (loading rate/WAF) according to OECD 211.

An further supporting study according to OECD 211 for a structurally very similar substance: Reaction products of diphenylamine (CAS:636878-20-3) with nonene, branched is available. The EC10 (21d) reproduction was determined to be >4.12mg/L.

Additional information

In a chronic toxicity test on Daphnia magna reproduction according to OECD 211 the UVCB substance was investigated at saturation concentration (BASF 2016). As the test substance is a UVCB substance which is sparingly soluble in water, the test solution was prepared following general guidance provided in OECD 23 in order to generate a water accommodated fraction of the test substance in test medium (undiluted filtrate up to a loading rate of 10 mg/L). A clear relationship between loading rates of the WAFs and reproduction of the daphnids was determined in this test. However, the EC10 reproduction after 21 days was determined to be > 1mg/L.

impurity Diphenylamine:

The EU risk assessment report for Diphenylamine reports for a chronic invertebrate test with Daphnia magna (OECD 202, part II) after 21d a NOEC of 0.16 mg/L for reproduction.
