JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with Regulation EC 1907/2006, Annex XI section 2, testing for a specific endpoint may be omitted if it is technically not possible to conduct the study as a consequence of the properties of the substance. An adsorption screening study is considered to be not technically possible due to the properties of the test material.
Specifically, a study according to OECD 121 is not considered to be possible as this method is only suitable for substances with a Log Koc value between 1.5 and 5.0. A QSAR calculation suggests that the Log Koc of the substance is 8.77 (Kow Method) or 10.11 (MCI Method). Both values are significantly above 5.0. Furthermore, the test substance can only be analysed after derivatisation, but using derivatisation, a distinction between intact test substance and breakdown products can no longer be made. The test substance cannot be chromatographed through a liquid chromatography column in its intact form. In conclusion, the adsorption coefficient of the test substance could not be performed according to the OECD 121 method.
For these reasons it is not considered to be technically feasible to conduct an adsorption/ desorption screening study with the substance.

A study according to OECD 106 is not considered to be technically feasible since this method is only suitable for substances for which an analytical method with sufficient accuracy is available. Additionally, the guideline notes that difficulties may arise in conducting this test for test substances with low water solubility. A QSAR calculated the water solubility of the substance to be 1.907 E-12 mg/L. For these reasons, conducting a study according to OECD 106 is not considered to be technically feasible.
