During this study the water solubility of cobalt chloride hexahydrate was determined using a simplified flask method and was found to be 585.8 g/L at room temperature based on a measured concentration of 145.9 g Co/L and 320 g CoCl2/L.

In this study it was only stated that the test was conducted at room temperature. Because of this it was assumed that the temperature during this study was 20 °C. Also, since no pH was stated in the study, it was assumed that the pH was 7.
