Additional information

No information available. Toxicity to sediment organisms is not a standard requirement according to Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 and there is no indication from the CSA according to Annex I on the need to investigate further the effects on sediment organisms. The substance has a low potential for adsorption to sediment particles indicated by a log Kow (-1.24 - 0.36). Thus, no further testing is considered necessary. Moreover, the environmental exposure assessment according to Annex XI, section 3 performed for this substance shows that the Risk Characterization Ratio (i.e. PEC/PNEC ratio) for the sediment compartment is < 1 and therefore, under the current exposure conditions, Reaction mixture of Glycerol 1,3- di(acetate), glycerol acetate and triacetin does not pose a risk to sediment organisms.
