Additional information
Short description of key information:
No reproduction study is available and it's not necessary to perform these development and / or fertility studies because quinoline is classified as carcinogen cat 2 and mutagen cat 3, so according to point R 7.6.6.3 of the Guidance of information requirements (Mai 2008), no reproduction toxicity studies are necessary because risk management measures are in place (see the CSR).
In addition, some information from in vitro studies show that quinoline has no estrogenic and no androgenic activity.
Furthermore, it has been shown in mutagenicity studies that the testis were not able to metabolize quinoline into its active derivative.
