Conclusions:
The highest application of 2000 mg/kg bw was found to be non-lethal by skin absorption in male and female rabbits.
Executive summary:

In an acute dermal toxicity study three male and female rabbits were dermally exposed to Na3NTA in water (10 % aqueous solution) for 24 hours at doses of 500, 1000, and 2000 mg/kg bw.

No mortality occurred – not even at highest concentration of 2000 mg/kg bw.

According to expert judgment trisodium nitrilotriacetate practically non-toxic by skin absorption. There were no symptoms of systemic toxicity observed. No weekness or loss of appetite. Since there was no death, no autopsies were performed.
