Description of key information

The test substance is a quaternary ammonium salt which completely dissociates in water forming tetramethylammonium (TMA) and hydroxyl ions. Dissociation of the salt is not an equilibrium and testing is therefore technically not possible. A statement (in accordance with OECD 112 and EPA OPPTS 830.7370) was considered sufficient to cover this endpoint. The statement was written by an expert in compliance with the principles of GLP.
