Description of key information

No toxicity test with terrestrial arthropods are available for propylene glycol butyl ether.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Propylene glycol butyl ether is readily biodegradable. From a fugacity model (McKay Level III) based on key physical and chemical property parameters, it can be concluded that the ultimate compartment is the aquatic compartment. Therefore, direct and indirect exposure to the soil compartment is unlikely and toxicity testing for terrestrial arthropods can be waived.
