Considering the high water solubility (> 550 g/L) and the low log Kow value (log Kow = -2) assuming a low adsorption potential of the substance as well as the low vapour pressure (>= 0.047 Pa at 20 °C), 1,2,3 -Propanetriol, homopolymer (CAS 25618-55-7) will tend to be mainly distributed into the water phase. However, since the substance is readily biodegradable, it will not be persistent in the aquatic environment.
