Because the difference between the two main test measurements was > 2°C, a second main test was necessary.
Therefore, due to the above mentioned facts (mean deviations > 5°C) and difficulties, it was decided after consultations with the study monitor to repeat the test completely with a new batch of the test item.

A measured flash point value of 136°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the submission substance using a non-equilibrium closed-cup method in accordance with ISO 2719 and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable and is selected as key study.
Flash point values of 129°C at 1013 hPa and limit of > 100°C at 1013 hPa were reported for the substance in secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned.
A measured flash point of 136°C at 1013 hPa and a measured boiling point of 269°C at 1013 hPa, indicate that the substance should not be classified for flammability in accordance with the criteria of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
