This study reported that CdO, dissolved in DMSO is not mutagenic in the used test system (Salmonella typhimurium) with or without metabolic activation. - Executive summary:
Mortelmans et al. (1986) reported that cadmium oxide was negative in Salmonella typhimurium with and without metabolic activation tested from 3.3-3333 μg CdO/plate.
