Description of key information

According to Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint Specific Guidance, R.7.1.4, the density of a substance is environmentally relevant because it is helpful in estimating the distribution of the substance within and between water, soil and air. As the submission substance is extremely soluble in water, it can reasonably be predicted that it will partition into the aquatic compartment. Thus, according to section 1 of REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) Annex XI, the relative density study (required in Annex VII section 7.4) does not need to be conducted.
