EC substance [940-223-9] has a log Kow of -0.57 at pH 6.8 (pH at the measured CMC) and therefore a low tendency to sorb to solids. For Exposure estimation a Koc of 1.6 L/kg from the EUSES 2.1 QSAR for Organic acids is used. According REACH Regulation 2006/1907/EEC Annex VIII, Section 9.3.1, Column 2 an Adsorption/Desorption study need not to be conducted if based on the physicochemical properties the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (e.g. the substance has a low octanol water partitioning coefficient).
