Additional information

Test animals were male NMRI animals with a weight of 18 to 30 grams. During the test, feed and water were withdrawn. The test substances were emulsified with 1-2% Cremophor E.L. Emulsion was administered to animals 1/2 hour before placing in photocell cage. Five animals were dosed in one cage and interruptions of the light barrier by animal movement were measured for 2 hours at intervals of 1/2 hour. A control test was conducted 24 hour in advance on the same animals at the same time of day. "Efficiency" was defined as ratio of lightbeam pulse after administration of test material to pulse of the preceeding day.
