The value for log Koc, which is a measure of the compound’s ability to bind to the organic component of soils and sediments was also determined by Hogg A S (1997) by comparising retention times on a C18 HPLC column. The method used was by Kordel W (undated) similar to Method OECD TGP/94.75. Fifteen reference compounds were employed ranging from simazine with log Koc = 1.77, to cyfluthrin with log Koc = 4.53.
