Description of key information

The EC50 was determined to be > 100 mg/L. The corresponding EC10 value was at least 100 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50/LC50 for freshwater invertebrates:
100 mg/L

Additional information

The short term toxicity of the substance to aquatic invertebrates was tested in daphnia magna in a study performed according to OECD Guideline 202, Part I, 1984. Based on the results obtained from testing the EC50 (48 h) was determined to be > 100 mg/L. The corresponding EC10 value was at least 100 mg/L .No mortalities or any other effects which could be related to the test item. Thus, the substance was considered to be practically non toxic to aquatic invertebrates.
