PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The registered substance is readily biodegradable, has a log octanol-water partition coefficient at 3.6 and has a mean BCF value (estimated) at 101.8 L/kg. Therefore, the registered substance does not meet the criterion for persistence (P) and bioaccumulation (B). For the T criterion, the lowest EC10 value of the three chronic data available on the registered substance on the three aquatic trophic levels was determined to be greater than 0.01 mg/L (precisely 0.84 mg/L for fish). The substance is not classified as Carcinogenic (category 1 or 2), mutagenic (category 1 or 2), or toxic for reproduction (category 1, 2 or 3) and there is no other evidence of chronic toxicity. Therefore, the registered substance does not meet the criterion for toxicity (T).

In conclusion, the registered substance is not considered PBT or vPvB.
