Description of key information

> 371 °C at 1009 hPa (could be decomposition) (OECD 103, DSC)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
371 °C

Additional information

The boiling behaviour of the substance Octadecan-1-ol, ethoxylated, < 2.5 EO (CAS 9005-00-9) was determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry according to OECD Guideline 103. Based on the shape of the DSC curve it was concluded that from 317 °C onwards the substance boils and/or thermally decomposes with evaporation of decomposition components. The onset temperature of the endothermic effect, i.e. 371 °C will be used as key value for chemical sefatey assessment.
