The components of DVB-HP, -63, and -55 (divinylbenzene and ethylvinylbenzne) do not possess structural groups which are susceptible to hydrolysis under pH/temperature conditions occurring in the environment. This was shown experimentally, where the components of a mixture of p- and m- DVB were stable at pH 4, 7, and 9 at 50°C over 5 days.
