Conclusions:
The effects at the high dose of 3850 mg/kg bw consisted of reduced maternal body weight gain and reduced fetal weight and length which is likely to be a nutritional rather than a toxicological effect. The maternal and fetal NOAEL were set at the lower dose of 15.6 g/kg diet (equivalent to 780 mg/kg bw/day).
