The substance used for read-across (4,4'-methylenedianiline, oligomeric reaction products with 1 -chloro-2,3 -epoxypropane) was found to be toxic to fish (Cyprinus carpio) with a 96h LC50 of 7.0 mg/L in an OECD 203 guideline study.

TGMDA was found to be toxic to Daphnia magna when tested according to OECD 202. The 48h LC50 value was determined to be 6.7 mg/L.

TGMDA was reported to have toxicity to the green algae Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata, with a 72-h ErC50 value for growth rate of 4.8 mg/L and a 72h ErC10 of 0.19 mg/L in an OECD guideline study (Test No. 201).

The substance used for read-across (4,4'-methylenedianiline, oligomeric reaction products with 1 -chloro-2,3 -epoxypropane)

was reported to have low toxicity to microorganisms (activated sludge), with a 24h-IC50 value for growth inhibition greater than 10000 mg/L (nominal). The justification for the read-across approach is given in an Assessment Report in Section 13
